Overview

Death Valley or 'Khooni Jheel' is a lake in a rural area of Faridabad. Death Valley is a collection of 7 abandoned mines that got naturally filled with crystal clear water. Its blue water and awesome flora and fauna around the lake attract many tourists but its name suggests something different.

Originally known as 'Bharadwaj Lake', it has over the years, earned the title of 'Khooni Jheel' from the locals as few visitors who entered into the lake for swimming have died. Most people dying here were either negligent or amateur swimmers who thought to jump into the waters without safety precautions. The Lake is quite deep and contains sharp stones inside it so, swimming in the lake would not be safe. Another threat here is bullying, snatching from locals so don't venture out alone, it will be best to travel in a group.

Walk down two kilometers from opposite Manav Rachna University- Enroute lie two more lakes which are also worth seeing.
